Commencing in 2025, girls in Years 7-10 will have the opportunity to choose netball as a specialist programme.
What age groups are involved?
Yr7-Yr10
Yr7 – 2 * timetabled classes & 1* before school session
Yr8 - 2 * timetabled classes & 1* before school session
Yr9 – 2* timetabled classes & 1* before school session
Yr10 – 3* timetabled classes
** students in Yr7 & Yr8 are restricted to choose 1 sport (e.g. girls can do AFLW or netball, not both)
*** students in Yr9 & 10 have the flexibility to choose 2* specialist sports (Basketball, Netball & AFLW)
Are there scholarships available?
In 2025, Netball will be offered as a program (timetabled), and not an Academy. It is hoped that the program will become an Academy in years to come. Because of this, scholarships will only be offered in 2025 through the Female Elite Sport Program (FESP), please check the school’s website for more information.
How do I sign up??
Students who are currently enrolled at the school in Yr6-Y9 are encouraged to complete an expression of interest form that will be provided through the website.
Students who are not enrolled at the school are encouraged to register their interest to attend the school in the first instance. After being accepted into the school, students can register their interest and will be considered for the Netball Program.
Who will run the program?
The program will be overseen by PE Specialist staff in Netball and be assisted by Level 2 Accredited coaches who are currently employed by the school.
Any other information?
The program is available to both male and female students across Yr7-10.
Students will be provided with the opportunity to train and play organised matches throughout the school year.
